Harry, 4yo Poodle looking for a new home (2/16/12)

Harry is our newest arrival and we know he won't last long. He is 4 yo, fully housebroken, has all his shots, neutered and we even gave him a dental cleaning so he is all set for his new forever home. Harry was a loved boy whose owner passed and the family could not keep him. He is longing a new family to call his own that will love him and care for him for the rest of his life which will be a long time considering he is only 4 yo. He is a happy and friendly boy who likes to play with his toys, look out windows and lay on your lap.
If you are interested in adopting Harry, please contact Maria at out4sun68@yahoo.com to receive an application for adoption. The first step would be to fill out the application, then we do references, schedule a home visit and if everything goes well we then complete the adoption. His adoption donation is $250 to help cover some of his veterinary expenses in getting him fully vetted, neutered and given a dental.

If you need more information of Harry, the foster mom is Cathy and her phone number is 954-457-6222 or you can e-mail her at chefcat.62@gmail.com
He is currently in Fort Lauderdale near Las Olas.

Lola - OUR FOREVER FOSTER - Please sponsor her!

Lola has become our forever foster and will be cared for by SOS4Paws for the rest of her life. Please help us provide for her by sponsoring Lola with a monthly donation dedicated to her and her only. Donations can be sent via Pay-Pal and just note Lola's name in it.

Our rescue saved Lola from MDAS  when her owner's family dumped her at the shelter to have her PTS. At the time we had a foster who later on backed out on us. Unfortunately we have not had any luck finding her a home and she sat on a crate at the vets office for over 9 weeks. As of 11/12, we were able to find her a temporary foster home and we hope we can soon find her a loving forever home.

She is such a sweet girl. Her only fault is that she goes to the bathroom often.  Our vet checked her kidneys and they are fine so he put her on Proin to see if that helps. Foster mom is also working with her and teaching her to use the wee wee pads and so far so good…..no accidents in the house! Lola also needs to have drops in her eyes twice a day to keep her from getting dry eye. She is really good at getting her eye drops. Lola has a good appetite and she is a happy and bouncing girl that has undergone a lot of suffering in a short period of time, from loosing her family and her home, then having to be caged forever. It is now time for her to find happiness once again. Her ideal family is one where there will be someone home all day to care for her. She is very sweet and wants to be next to you all the time.

Lola is currently in West Palm Beach, she is 10 yo and weights about 12 lbs.

URGENT!!!!!!! WEST PALM BEACH - SENIOR ABUSED GAL NEEDS A HOME (WITHIN FLORIDA)

Many of you may have seen the e-mails about Missy, the old and abused GS mix that was already schedule to be PTS at Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control. After a few tries with short term fosters that did not work out for one reason or another (not Missy’s fault)  a good soul came to the rescue and offered to foster her and possibly keep her and give Missy a second chance to having a life where she could know what love was. Unfortunately, Missy has turned out to be a dominant female who is also very protective of her food (understandable given her past). Missy has had a very rough life and she desperately craves attention and affection but does not like to share it with other dogs, therefore she needs to be an only dog. She is friendly with them but will become very protective of her food and her human and scare the other dogs away. She does not like being left alone. She cries and goes into anxiety attacks.
She likes being indoors and having a soft bed to lay on but please keep in mind that all her life she was an outside dog begging for scraps to have a meal so her manners are a little rusty. Missy needs a home with space for her to move around and a yard to roam around. Ideally she needs a home with someone retired or who does not work so she has someone to spend time with her and keep her company.
She is a sweet girl and she is a beautiful gal. Look at her face and just looking into her eyes will melt your heart. She is the victim of years of abuse and neglect and now finds herself homeless. PLEASE, let’s find this girl a place she can call home and where she will learn what love feels like and not have to worry if she is going to have food tomorrow or not. I know that there is someone out there for her.
She is spayed, fully vetted, has all her shots, is on flea and heartworm prevention, fully house broken, and ready to go to a forever home. Due to her age, Missy cannot travel long distances by car and definitely not by plane so we are looking for a local home within South or even Central Florida is ok.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, help us network for this girl to find her a home where she can spend the rest of the life she has left. This is an URGENT situation. We need to act quickly to avoid being back to a shelter situation. Missy deserves a second chance at life. She has had a life that will make anyone cry. Let's show her she did not deserve that and lets find her a home with love, food, a confy bed and company.
If you can offer Missy the home she needs, please contact Terry at 561-386-6611 or Maria at 561-386-6611.

This is so not fair to poor Charlie and we are dedicated to find Charlie a new home just as good as the one he had. Bosley - ADOPTED 12.2.11

Take a look at Bosley's photos and he will surely melt your heart. He is an 11 yo, tiny white Maltese boy approx.4-5 lbs. He is one happy and active little boy who loves to play with other doggies, likes to go for walks and will love laying on the couch with you. Bosley was rescued from  a high kill shelter when his family of 11 yrs turned him in to be PTS because he had a cough. Well, it turns out that Bo has a heart murmur. he has been seen by various veterinarians now including a cardiologist and Bosley is now on medication for his heart and to control his cough. He will have to take these meds for the rest of his life but the
cardiologist  expects him to live a happy few more years if he is kept on his daily regimen of medications.  Right now he coughs a little in the morning or when he gets excited but with his new meds we are confident his cough will continue to disappear as it already has started to. He is neutered, just had his teeth cleaned and are now pretty pearly whites, has all his shots and is on heartworm preventative.  His heart meds are actually pretty cheap and can be purchased even at Publix. Dr. Rupp (cardiologist in Ft Lauderdale and West Palm) is committing to extend a 30% discount for any follow up visits needed to whomever adopts him.

Other than this little inconvenience, he is  stable, very happy and friendly boy. He is house broken and is learning to use the doggie door.  His ideal home is one where someone is home all day to keep him company as he does not like to be  left alone, and make sure he gets his meds routinely. Adoption fee is  $100 and he will come with a full supply of his meds so you do not have to worry about getting meds right away.

Please share this information with all your friends and contacts. If you or someone you know can open their hearts to little Bo, please contact me at out4sun68@yahoo.com or call me at 561-289-2009.
